Hand knitted 1940s mustard jumper

Hi everyone !

A big hobby of mine is knitting! I could spend hours doing so in front of TV or a good old French movie. I've been searching for old jumper patterns on the net and I fell in love with a cute short sleeved jumper I found on the blog The Vintage Pattern Files.

There are two different size options in this pattern so you can easily adapt it to your own, what I did. 

I unfortunately did not take pictures of the process :( But I have pictures of the finished product :) 

It took me 3 weeks to finish this jumper, working on it 2 hours every evenings.

1940s Black Suit... first steps.

Hi everyone !

I've recently started a sewing project, a 1940s black suit. Santa have been really generous with me this Christmas and brought me a new camera, thousand times better than the compaq olympus I had, so I decided to share with you this project, with great pictures !

My base inspiration was a classic black suit, a must have for me! I've done research on google and etsy for inspiration and this one really caught my eye :

However, I'm not going to reproduce this one, mine will be based after those two patterns I've acquired not so long ago :

  

The first one for the vest, and  obviously the second for the skirt.
I had to enlarge the pattern by adding 10 inches, unfortunately I am not a 34 inches bust!
I've bought woolen lycra for this suit, I did not want heavy material, I want to be able to wear it during spring too !
